The air

Same air for everyone. Nobody gets an excuse.

~15%of your engine's power gone at Denver's 5,280 feet

Rule of thumb: a non-turbo engine loses about 3 percent per 1,000 feet. Your lungs get the same deal. Every rider on the line breathes it. The ones who win up here know how to ride a bike that pulls less.

The Front Range

ThrottleCross Front Range: where the plains quit.

The Front Range is where the plains quit and the Rockies start. Pikes Peak stands over one end. Longs Peak stands over the other. In between: 120 miles of I-25 and three arenas.

ThrottleCross puts a gate in all three this winter. Score points at every one. Most points after Denver takes the title.

We're looking for the best riders on the Front Range.

250 Pro. 450 B. 85cc 12–15. Vet Over 40. Pick your class. If you think you're the fastest in Colorado, here is the floor to prove it. Three rounds. No hiding.

The prize

Hang it in the shop.

One plaque per class. Handed over on the Denver floor after the last main. Plaque shown is a mockup.

Proposed format The points

Finish it. Score it.

Every main pays points by finishing position. Add them up across all six nights. Most points wins the class. Final rules post here before Round 1.

21st and back: 0. Same scale in every class, amateur to Pro.

  1. Take the checkered flag to score. Start the main and finish one lap under your own power, same as every ThrottleCross night.
  2. Points stay in the class you earned them. Move up mid-series and you start over in the new class.
  3. Race all three rounds to be eligible. At least one main at Colorado Springs, Loveland and Denver.
  4. Ties go to most wins, then best finish Saturday in Denver.
  5. Active AMA membership required, same as every ThrottleCross race.
Who's racing

25 classes. 25 champions.

Typical class list. Check the pre-registration page for each round's final classes.
