ThrottleCross opens its 2026-27 season on Saturday, November 21, 2026 at MVP Arena in downtown Albany. Round 1 of 6. Twenty-four classes take the same indoor track in a single day of racing, from 50cc riders as young as 4 to the pro mains that close the night.
The name is new. The team is not. ThrottleCross comes from the original promoters behind Kicker Arenacross, a crew with nearly three decades of hauling dirt into arenas and running race nights. Albany is the first gate of the next chapter, and the lone Northeast date on a six-stop calendar that runs west through Colorado, Nevada and Texas.
Racing it
If you ride, this event is yours to enter. The class list covers 50cc (starting at age 4), 65cc, 85cc and Super Mini, the 250 and 450 amateur ranks, Outlaw, Pit Bike, Vet 30 and Vet 40, plus 250 Pro and Open Pro. Amateurs and pros race the same dirt on the same night.
Registration is online only, and the price rewards the early move. Amateur entry is $50 per class until Wednesday, November 18 at 10 p.m. Central, then $65. Pro entry is $65 until the same deadline, then $80. Registration closes for good at 9 a.m. on race day. There is no signing up at the arena, so handle it from the couch, not the parking lot.
Bring an active AMA membership. Scoring runs on MyLaps transponders; rent one at the event for $20 per bike or run your own. The complete 55-rule AMA rulebook is published on the rider page, so you can read every line before you commit a dime.
Race day follows the standard ThrottleCross rhythm: pit gate and check-in from 8:30 a.m., mandatory riders meeting at 10, practice at 10:15, qualifying heats from 1 p.m., and main racing under the lights with pro qualifying from 7:30. Times are the typical running order. Check the event page during race week for the posted schedule.
Watching it
Arenacross puts the whole fight in front of your seat. No hillside hike, no binoculars, no weather. The start straight, the whoops and the last-corner pass all happen on one arena floor, and a November night in Albany can't touch any of it.
Online ticket sales are not live yet. Tickets will be available at the door.
The gate drops November 21. Pick yours.
